Licensed R.E. Salesperson
Michael Joo brings over 12 years of experience in the real estate industry, where he started on the residential side of transactions. He has worked on everything from sales of starter condos and coops as well as done much larger deals at well known buildings such as 52 Leonard St, River and Warren, and the Orion, to name a few.
He also realized that his skill set and passion were a perfect match for commercial real estate, where the transactions are typically over a longer time horizon, and tend to be more nuanced with more moving parts and aspects to consider. Currently, he continues to represent his residential sales clients while his voracious appetite for learning and years of commercial experience have allowed him to become a trustworthy advisor in commercial transactions. The many clients and deals he has successfully transacted on include multifamily investment properties, as well as retail/office leases ranging from a diverse number of fast casual/upscale white tablecloth restaurants to creative firms and medical practices.
Combining a meticulous eye for details and an even-keeled analytical approach that often yields creative strategies and solutions, Michael's passion for all aspects of negotiation is evident in his strong, effective relationships and communications with principals, brokers, landlords, attorneys, and other experts with varied personalities and backgrounds. He is able to bring difficult and complex deals to the closing table because he understands that clear and precise communication skills are unconditionally essential, and sometimes even a single incorrectly chosen word can mean the difference of hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost value or opportunity to his client.
His core belief in openness and transparency in all regards especially with his clients further sets him apart, along with a genuine commitment to his role in educating clients about market conditions, processes, and strategies and serving as an ethical fiduciary advisor throughout the entire process and beyond.
